Gundark Base

The Gundark Base was a bunker located a short distance north of the city Narmle on Naboo's swamp moon of Rori during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The base was controlled by the Gundark gang.

Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, the Aqualish criminal Ponda Baba hired some Gundark thug and committed a number of break-ins at cybernetic labs on Rori.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Lieutenant Orden Tarc of the Royal Naboo Security Forces tasked a spacer with interrogating Gundark members at the base until one of them gave up information pertaining to Ponda Baba.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Gundark Base was a location in the 2003 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars Galaxies,[1] prior to the game's closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Gundark Base was added to the game with the release of the "Game Update 12," on August 10, 2009.[4]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
