The Grysk leadership was the leadership of the Grysk warlike species. Generalirius Nakirre, the leader of the Kilji species' government, the Kilji Illumine, wished to enlighten all Grysks to the Kilji beliefs, and thought that becoming a partner of the Grysk leadership would allow him to do so.[1] Around 18 BBY,[2] Pathfinder navigator Qilori of Uandualon, an agent of the Grysk operative "Jixtus," led the crew of the Kilji war cruiser Whetstone during a battle between a Chiss fleet and Jixtus's fleet.[1]

After the navigator ordered the Kilji crew to fire the Whetstone's weapons at Jixtus' flagship, the FateSpinner, Qilori theorized what could happen if Jixtus survived and all other Grysk forces were defeated: the Grysk operative could tell the Grysk leadership that his fifteen warships had fought to death against a hundred Chiss ships, or even three hundred, which in Qilori's opinion, would persuade the Grysks to bring a full armada against the Chiss instead of a fleet. However, with the Whetstone's attack on the FateSpinner, Jixtus admitted defeat and destroyed all his ships.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Grysk leadership was mentioned in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final volume in Timothy Zahn's Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
