Grendle was a light-skinned Human merchant who lived on the planet of Tatooine in the city of Mos Espa where he sold fresh dried chokie just outside of the Mos Espa Grand Arena. He was related to a fellow merchant, Anabar, but in what way is unknown.
In 32 BBY, Grendle met the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Jinn was attempting to bet on Anakin Skywalker in the Boonta Eve Classic podrace, and asked Grendle about buying a hazardous weapon. Grendle suggested he talk to Anabar.
Behind the scenes
Grendle appears in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace video game. The player, in the guise of Jinn, may chose to talk to Grendle. This article assumes 100% game completion, and the game's strategy guide suggests doing so.
