Great Fish Famine

The Great Fish Famine was a fish famine that occurred on the planet Sakavi Tar[2] by 9 BBY.[1] Skoova Stev, a Sakavian fisherman, was said to be the savior of the Great Fish Famine before Wan'yek Whett and his crew showed up on Sakavi Tar. Whett worsened the famine by fishing excessively on the planet. To stop the excessive fishing, Skoova made a deal with Whett. In return for Skoova's help catching fish, Whett could not fish on Sakavi Tar. Whett agreed, but he eventually returned to fish on the planet once more after Skoova was kicked from the crew and starved the people of the village, killing them.[2]
