The Great Chott salt flat was a sodium-rich desert flat on the planet Tatooine.[3] It was located in the southeastern end of the Jundland Wastes[1] and bordered the Dune Sea. The most important settlement of the Great Chott was the city of Anchorhead. A network of moisture farms,[3] including the homesteads of the Lars and Darklighter families,[1] was organized around Anchorhead, making water extraction the principal business of the town and the region.[3]
