A grappling hook was a type of device that allowed a user to climb or ascend large objects. During the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic's clone troopers used a type of grappling hook called ascension cables with their DC-17 hand blasters, DC-15A blaster carbines, and DC-15A blaster rifles.[2] A couple of the Hunters of the Outer Rim competitors utilized grappling hooks as a part of their loadout, including the human bounty hunter Imara Vex and the Miraluka sharpshooter Diago Velaar.[3]
