The Gradilis sector was a sector in Wild Space that contained the Nirauan system.[1]
History
The Gradilis sector was a poorly charted sector located in Wild Space, near the boundary with the Unknown Regions.[2] It was classed as a freestanding subsector of the Galactic Empire at the time of the Battle of Yavin.[1] It was poorly explored with insufficiently documentation before the Imperial Era. Yet, the sector was not given a formal status when incorporated into the Empire and was not represented in the Imperial Senate.[4]
The planet Nirauan was the location of the Hand of Thrawn, a secret base established by Grand Admiral Thrawn to rule his Empire of the Hand.[3]
