The Gossam Commandos were a soldier group used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Outer Rim Territories against the Republic. Commerce Guild Presidente Shu Mai permitted the use of them personally. They also doubled as security guards.
They were males of the Gossam species and wore heavy armor. Their primary weapon was a heavy repeating blaster rifle. For secondary armarment, they used a heavy shoulder-mounted cannon that took two Gossams to work—one to fire and one to reload.
During the Battle of Cerea in 21 BBY, the Commerce Guild invaded the planet and Gossam commandos were responsible for the murder of Cerea's President Bo-Ro-Tara.
During the Battle of Felucia in 19 BBY, Gossam commandos were used to guard Shu Mai's compound in the capital city of Kway Teow, the Separatist detention center in Nigkoe, and the Separatist biomolecule facilities in the cities of Har Gau, Jiaozi, and Niango.[2]
