The Galaxy Cake Bar, which also went by the name Gormaanda's Cake Pop, was a type of chocolate cake on a stick that was created by the chef Gormaanda. The purple snack was served on the MPO-1400 Purgill-class star cruiser Halcyon[1] in 34 ABY.[2] It was suitable for human consumption.[1]
Behind the scenes
Galaxy Cake Bars were available as a packaged snack in the real world to guests staying at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida,[1] which opened to the public on March 1, 2022.[3] It was last served at the hotel during the September 28–30 voyage of 2023, the final voyage before the closure of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.[4] Galaxy Cake Bars were a form of the real-world snack cake pops, but with a larger, flatter shape than many cake pops.[5]
When the Starcruiser first debuted, the cake pops went by the name of Gormaanda's Cake Pops, referring to the four-armed chef featured in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special. Eventually, the name of the snack was changed to the more descriptive Galaxy Cake Bar.[5]
