The Gorgaria system was located in the Karthakk sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was home to the species known as the Gorgarian buzzadder.[3][4]
Around 3637 BBY,[5] scientists from the Gorgaria system claimed to have synthesized a poison more lethal than Ziroxin-12,[6] a chemical developed by the reconstituted Sith Empire.[7] The future commander of the Eternal Alliance[8] subsequently tasked a companion with researching the validity of the scientists' claims.[6]
Behind the scenes
The Gorgaria system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square Q-17.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the Gorgaria system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Gorgarian buzzadder species.
