Gondrin Upal[2] was a Kajain'sa'Nikto[1] tramper who traveled on board the AA-9 Freighter-Liner Jendirian Valley while it transported refugees from the planet Coruscant to the planet Naboo during the Separatist Crisis[2] in 22 BBY.[3] During the journey, Upal stood at a table near the freighter's canteen and spoke with two other Nikto. The tramper then sat down at a separate table and drank from a bowl. The Nikto had orange skin and wore a purple shirt.[1]

Behind the scenes

Gondrin Upal first appeared in the 2002 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[1] In the current Star Wars canon Upal was identified in the "Starship Fact File" department of the 2015 magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 50,[2] which was written by Tim Veekhoven.[4] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in the 2005 reference book Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars, which was written by Trisha Biggar.[5]
