The Gligger system was a part of the Ash Worlds sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Battle of Gligger[3] was fought in the vicinity of the Gligger system.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Gligger system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square S-7.[2]

(In reply to: "Jason, is Gendrah-Narvin a city country, star, or planet?")" (backup link) Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, co-authors of The Essential Atlas, stated their intention to create the approximate locations for numerous events based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Battle of Gligger in relation to the Gligger system.
