The Gk7 Cryocooler was a cooling unit that was used to cool the E-Web (15), a heavy repeating blaster manufactured by BlasTech Industries. With the Gk7 Cryocooler equipped, the E-Web (15) could fire for up to one standard hour at a sufficient distance to discourage even the most fearless of armies.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Gk7 Cryocooler was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in "Blasters and Ranged Weapons,"[1] a booklet in a series of canon reference booklets titled the Star Wars Encyclopedia, published by De Agostini on February 23, 2021.[2] The Gk7 Cryocooler originated it the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in The Last Command Sourcebook, a hardcover supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, released in March 1994.[3]
