- "I’m not sure if the nullifiers will work against it, since this one uses a ghorsian crystal as a focus source and not a kyber, but it’s sturdy enough that it should provide us enough cover to get inside the mine proper."
- ―Vernestra Rwoh, to Indara
A ghorsian crystal was a type of crystal, one of which was used as the focus source of a plasma shield given to Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh by her former Padawan Imri Cantaros during the High Republic Era. Years after Cantaros' death,[1] around 160 BBY,[2] Rwoh and Jedi Knight Indara traveled to the planet Septra to stop the arms dealer Nilsson Summach. Because Summach was manufacturing four-seven nullifiers, which were capable of disrupting lightsaber blades, Rwoh decided to bring the shield to confront him, but was unsure if the nullifiers would be effective against it due to it using a ghorisan crystal instead of the kyber crystals used in lightsabers, which she explained to Indara. When Rwoh confronted Summach in the Kolnare Mine on Septra, the shield's energy field was disrupted after Summach struck it with a sword he had embedded a nullifier in. However, Rwoh was still able to defeat him without the shield.[1]
