"We Are the Ghor,"[1] also known as the Ghorman National Anthem, was a musical piece that served as the[2] planetary anthem[1] for the planet Ghorman.[2]
In 2 BBY,[3] Lezine, a member of a local rebel cell called the Ghorman Front started to sing the anthem during the protest in Palmo Plaza. Soon after most of the gathered Ghormans joined in to sing along. The singing was interrupted when the Galactic Empire initiated a massacre of the Ghorman people.[4]

Behind the scenes
- "Tony and I started work on the Ghorman National Anthem before Season Two began filming. As we were writing the anthem together, our goal was to create something that felt both timeless and authentic, but which could also feel like an emotional rallying cry."
- ―Nicholas Britell
The Ghorman National Anthem first appeared in "Who Are You?," the second season's eighth episode of the Disney+ television series Andor,[4] which aired on May 6, 2025.[5] It was also briefly featured in the title card of "Welcome to the Rebellion."[6] It was written by showrunner Tony Gilroy and composer Nicholas Britell before filming of the second season began. Prior to its debut, the anthem was mentioned in a production brief linked to the show released by Walt Disney Studios via Getty Images on April 10 of the same year.[2] Following the release of the third volume of the second season's original score, the anthem was identified as "We Are the Ghor."[1] The piece was nominated for the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics Award at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards.[7]
In developing the anthem, Gilroy and Britell researched existing national anthems as reference. One of the concepts Gilroy envisioned was that, when singing the chorus, according to Ghorman tradition, men would sing the "Va-leine" (Valley) verse, and the women would sing "Mèje-gah" (Highland), or in a sporting competition, people from the valleys would sing the valley verse, while individuals from the highlands would sing the highland verse.[8]
