An individual lived during the High Republic Era and served in the Galactic Republic's Defense Coalition.[1] By 228 BBY,[2] the individual had become a spy in the organization for Ghirra Starros—a former Republic senator who had sided with the Nihil pirates and become the leader of its Ministry of Information.[1]
That year,[2] the physicist Xylan Graf—whose Lightning Crash space station had been taken over by the Nihil and used to power their Stormwall hyperspace barrier—fled the station and returned to Republic space. When speaking with the Nihil spy Nan about Graf's escape, Starros considered checking in with her Republic Defense Coalition spy as she suspected Graf would provide the Republic with data about the Lightning Crash and Stormwall.[1]
Behind the scenes
Ghirra Starros' spy was mentioned in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, it must be set in 228 BBY.
