The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official non-canon information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A moon orbited[2] the planet Genbara and its sun in the Genbara system within a sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] When the former Sith known as the Ronin and his astromech droid companion R5-D56 wandered around Genbara two decades after the Sith rebellion,[1] the planet's natural satellite loomed large over the horizon during daylight.[2]

When the Ronin tried to escape his second duel with resurrected Sith Kouru at Osou spaceport, R5-D56 opened the docking bay doors above, allowing the moonlight to spill over parked vessels. From Genbara,[1] the cratered moon appeared large against a sky with faint stars. The rough surface featured a central circular depression surrounded by darker, irregular patterns that extended outward.[2]

Behind the scenes

Genbara's moon first appeared in "The Duel," a non-canon short film released as part of the first volume of the Star Wars: Visions series, written by Takashi Okazaki and directed by Takanobu Mizuno. The animated short, produced by Kamikaze Douga, was released on Disney+[2] on September 22, 2021.[3]

The moon was depicted with splotches of red in the packaging art for Hasbro's The Ronin & R5-D56 pack, part of Star Wars: The Black Series and released during Celebration Japan in 2025.[4] The red moon version was also featured in promotional artwork near the Hasbro booth during the Celebration event.[5]
