A necklace made of Eadun silver was owned by the family of the human Gehren Rand. Before she became a Jedi youngling, Rand was given the necklace by a member of her family. At the Jedi Temple, Rand kept it under her sleeping mat.^[1] In 49 BBY,^[2] the Jedi hired the Black Sun lieutenant Nodrus Cay to take her offworld so she could save her father, who she had dreams of in pain, using the necklace as payment. After Rand and her friend Obi-Wan Kenobi revealed they were Force-sensitive to the Zabrak, she attempted to bring them into her service, though the two managed to escape, but were forced to leave the necklace.^[1]
