A gas acceleration converter was a particle accelerator that enhanced the velocity of plasma bolts fired from blasters.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the Ashiga Clan merchant Viska began offering a prototype of the converter for sale to trusted associates from their shop in the Ashiga Clan District of Kijimi City.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess purchased the gas acceleration converter prototype from Viska for 1500 credits which she later used to modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's rapid-fire plasma module.[1]
Behind the scenes
A gas acceleration converter appeared as an upgrade item in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The player must obtain the converter in order upgrade their blaster's rapid-fire plasma module to level four.[1]
