The Gardaji Rift was a region of the Outer Rim, within the Gardaji sector of the galaxy's Tingel Arm. It was surveyed and charted by several expeditions in approximately 229 BBY;[2] sometime between then and 89 BBY, the living free-floating planet Zonama Sekot arrived in the Rift and settled in orbit around a yellow dwarf star in a "triple star system" of a hidden region at the far spinward and galactic north side of the Rift.
Jedi Master Vergere first discovered the living planet during her mission there.
