- "Recently, a random spot check aboard the luxury liner Alamintari, bound for the Outer Rim Territories, uncovered 10 kilos of rare Garcornian spice and a pre-recorded sound chip of a Breshig trill beast."

Garcornian spice was a rare type of spice[3] that originated at[2] the celestial body Garcornia,[1] a part of the Mid Rim's Ado sector.[4] Sometime between 0 ABY and 3 ABY,[5] the smuggling of ten kilograms of Garcornian spice was attempted aboard the luxury liner Alamintari, which was traveling to the Outer Rim Territories. The spice was hidden in a T-P-C4 Live Organism Comfort Conveyor—normally used for transporting pets at a heightened comfort level—along with a pre-recorded sound chip of a fierce trill beast. Local ground officials, fooled by the apparent growling of the creature, did not visually inspect the interior of the transportation system, although the smuggling attempt was nevertheless later discovered by customs inspectors performing a random spot check aboard the Alamintari. Not long thereafter, the incident was noted in the fiftieth-anniversary edition of Galladinium's Galactic Datalog of Fantastic Technology.[3]
Behind the scenes
Garcornian spice was mentioned in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology, a 1995 sourcebook authored by Rick D. Stuart for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3]

Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Garcornian spice in relation to the Garcornia system and specifically Garcornia.
