The Galactic Senate Medcenter was a medcenter located on the right side of the Senate Building, which was located on the surface of the Federal District of Galactic City, the ecumenopolis that covered the Core Worlds planet Coruscant. The center provided medical care for the senators of the Galactic Republic's Galactic Senate as part of the idea that no world or star system should need to worry about funding its representation within the senate.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Galactic Senate Medcenter was mentioned in "Coruscant," an entry in De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[1] that was released on February 9, 2021.[2] The medcenter originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 2001 novel Cloak of Deception, which was written by James Luceno.[3]
