The galaar was a common bird of prey native to the Outer Rim world of Mandalore. The creature lent its name to the GALAAR-15 blaster carbine manufactured by Concordian Crescent Technologies.[1]
Behind the scenes
The galaar were mentioned in Collapse of the Republic, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1] According to the Mando'a dictionary, galaar means "hawk."[2]
