Gaerboud IV was a planet located in the Sepan system,[3] a part of the Sepan sector[1] in the Slice portion of the Expansion Region.[2]

History

Gaerboud IV was orbited by the Deep Space Manufacturing Facility Sentinel which manufactured TIE Avengers for the Galactic Empire. The Imperial-class Star Destroyer Dauntless traveled to Gaerboud IV to receive a complement of TIE Avengers from the space station. The Rebel Alliance sent a strike force to interrupt the transfer and destroy the new starfighters.[4]

Behind the scenes

Gaerboud IV first appeared in the 1997 PC video game Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.[4]

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, indicated in April 2023 that Gaerboud IV originally was a misspelling of Gerbaud 2, and confirmed that Gaerboud IV was located in the Sepan system.[3]
