The GB-IB was a hovering droid used by the Galactic Empire on Kessel and Yavin 4 in 0 BBY.[1] They were shaped roughly like a half-sphere with manipulator arms underneath.[2]

Behind the scenes

The GB-IB appeared in the 1987 Japanese Star Wars game.[2] Their name was revealed in the Japanese language guide of the game serialized in Family Computer Magazine.[1]
