G. Zocolidae Amedus was a minor variant of the Zocolidae family of microscopic brown worms.[1]
At the time of the Galactic Civil War, an ongoing study on the desert world Tatooine by the Vinda'a BioChemical Laboratories focused on this variant. The study tried to find commercial applications for the worm's biological biochemistry that removed toxic chemicals from a planet's soil.[1]
