A frying pan was a cooking device used across the galaxy. Its main purpose was cooking; however, sometimes it could be used as a melee weapon.[1]
Behind the scenes
- "In the script, the cook Loubo is holding a blaster to which the spaceport police droid says, "Lou! Are you crazy, pointing that thing at a Jedi?" Changing the prop into a frying pan turned this moment into a joke."

The scene where Loubo tried to pull the pan on Anakin Skywalker was originally intended for Lou to pull a blaster on him instead.[2]
