Freight tenders were a type of starship with ion engines.[1] In 0 ABY,[2] a pair of freight tenders were part of the busy traffic in the space lanes above the planet Giju. When a firefight erupted between a trio of Alliance to Restore the Republic X-wing starfighters and a patrol of Imperial TIE fighters, the two freight tenders tried to fly away from the fighting as quickly as possible.[1]
