This article is about Freedom of Naboo. You may be looking for Freedom Day.

Freedom of Naboo was a regular celebration held on the edge of the Lianorm Swamp on the planet Naboo in the years following the Gungan and Naboo victory against occupying Trade Federation forces during the Battle of Naboo[1] in 32 BBY.[2] Prior to the battle, the swamp edges had been considered a no-man's land between the territories of the Naboo and the Gungans and were inhabited only by outcasts, but it was on the border between the two cultures that the native leaders met to plan out the battle.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Freedom of Naboo was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations in a section reprinted[1] from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund and marked the celebration's first mention in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
