The Freedom One was a popular blaster manufactured by the SoroSuub Corporation. It was a technological clone of BlasTech Industries's E-11 medium blaster rifle, the standard-issue blaster rifle of the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps. The Freedom One was the most successful blaster out of many attempts by various different corporations to copy the success of the E-11. It was formerly known as the Stormtrooper One, but the corporation renamed it to the Freedom One after changing their allegiance to the Rebel Alliance.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Freedom One was first mentioned in the second edition of the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, a Star Wars Legends roleplaying sourcebook released in October 1992.[2] The Freedom One was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in "Blasters and Ranged Weapons," a reference book by Altaya released exclusively in France on February 23, 2021[1]
