A free trader was a type of Merchant in The galaxy. On Coruscant, the vast tunnels that connected the surface levels to docking bays in the Coruscant Underworld gave free traders, along with Bounty hunters and Smugglers, quick and easy access to Galactic City's lower levels.[1] A publication published during the Imperial Era known as the Free Trader's Gazette shared it's name with the type of merchant, as did a male fathier that took part in the Canto Cup fathier race in 3 ABY.[2]
Behind the Scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Free traders were mentioned in "Coruscant Underworld,"[1] an article written by Mark Newbold[3] and published in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the twenty-sixth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] which released around July 1, 2015.[4]
