Although this article's title is canonical, its actual spelling is pure conjecture.

The four great families were a group of families in charge of the Land & Sky Corporation's board of directors. The families included the Nan family, Xia family, Chen family, and Ma family.

History

When the Aakaash system was first colonized there was only one great family: the Ma family. The other three eventually rose to prominence from among the vassal families of the Ma.[1]
