"You must be one of the Four Sword Saints, Master Okinaa, The One Who Shatters the Galaxy with Nothing But a Name."
―The Ronin, to Okinaa[1]

The Four Sword Saints was a group that the Sith Master Okinaa belonged to. Okinaa lived in a village on a planet with their droid[1] R5-D56[2] and other villagers. Over time, many of the villagers died until Okinaa and RD5-56 became the village's only surviving members. Ten years later, while visiting a holy place on the planet, Okinaa was challenged to a duel by[1] the former Sith[2] known as the Ronin. While issuing the challenge, the Ronin mentioned that Okinaa was one of the Four Sword Saints and referred to them as "The One Who Shatters the Galaxy with Nothing But a Name". Okinaa was then killed by the Ronin during their duel.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Four Sword Saints appeared in the form of Okinaa and were identified in the non-canon one-shot comic Visions – Takashi Okazaki 1, written and illustrated by Takashi Okazaki and published by Marvel Comics[1] on March 20, 2024.[3] Prior to the comic's release, the Four Sword Saints were first pictured, also in the form of Okinaa, in a StarWars.com article published on September 14, 2023.[4] In the real world, sword saint was a title given to the greatest swordsmen during the Edo period in Japan.[5]
