Wookieepedia:Article requests (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

This seems like a page that made a lot of sense in 2005, when it was created, and the early days of Wookieepedia. There were far fewer pages, people lacked sources, and the amount of knowledge people had was limited. It made sense to have a place where you could ask someone to create a page that you lacked the source for. A good use for this page could be something like, "I need to kill a redlink in my Featured Article nomination, but I don't have the source. Can someone with the source create it?" But if you peruse the recent history of the page, that's not what it's being used for. The requested pages, by and large, could be created by the requestor pretty easily. I think this page has lost its relevance, and I'd say it's time for it to go. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 20:13, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

I understand the need for centralized garbage dumps on Wookieepedia. That's why I spurred the creation of the Knowledge Bank. But this page is just nasty. People use it as an excuse to be lazy, and demanding, and in many cases just plain rude. Not enough to be blocked for it, but just enough to showcase that lovely sense of entitlement that's destroying modern society.
