Wookieepedia:Advice for new administrators (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

I just think this is really outdated (mentions emailing the mailing list if you need help with a block, lmao). I did briefly consider revamping it. But then thought, well, honestly—every administrative function is detailed in the administrative autonomy policy, the deletion policy, or any other policy. This page is somewhat a relic of an older era, and it's really wordy/generally bureaucratic.

I'm proposing that we just get rid of it wholesale since admins will, of course, be subject to Civility and NPA like everyone else, but primarily because the information is all repeated elsewhere and there's some really weird phrasing in this (ex. "this does not mean that administrators should act like police or judges—though, in some instances, the community may require you to.") Also, I'm 90% sure after talking to some folk that some of our admins have done just fine and had no clue this existed.—spookywillowwtalk 21:17, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
