Wampa cave (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
This Trash Compactor (TC) is a second attempt to restore wampa cave as an article after its previous deletion via TC here via a 16-3 vote. The first attempt to restore did not have sufficient votes to overturn the previous deletion vote, though it was strongly leaning to restore (11-1)
The argument to delete made by the proposer is essentially that the cave was a temporary domicile that was only notable because of its OOU recognition. However, there is no evidence that this cave was temporary and we know the cave was inhabited by at least two wampas (One-Arm and a male wampa), bringing question to that claim. Especially as the male dragged Luke and the tauntaun to the female.
Its IU notability—as the location where Luke, after being knocked unconscious, had to focus, use the force to pull the saber and then escape—was ignored.
Imperators has graciously advised that prior to deletion, the only appearances/sources noted were:
- Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back
- Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy
- Star Wars: Complete Locations
However, I noticed the Wizards of the Coast The Empire Strikes Back (TCG) card "Wampa Cave" gives an ID, as generic as it may be. The card may be viewed here.
Given the fact that it is ID'd separately in the card game, its IU notability and its temporary nature being circumstantial at best, I think that it deserves its own article. This is contrary to my previous vote which I believe to have been a "follow the leader" type vote.

- As I stated the last round: A. I think saying it's a temporary domicile is a weak argument and actually not supported by TESB. The male wampa dragged Luke to this cave, where the female wampa already was present. That doesn't speak to temporary dwelling, but a permanent den. B. Luke had to calm himself before using the Force to call his lightsaber to his hand and then used said lightsaber to free himself from captivity and defended himself against attack from a semi-sentient creature. That was a significant event in Luke's life. - JMAS
