I agree that it's not notable as an individual but does it make sense to make a superlaser engineer occupation article from this? - ThePedantry (talk) 23:19, 27 February 2025 (UTC)
So as not to lose the source material, would moving Star Wars: The Card Game — Core Set Card: Superlaser Engineer (backup link) to another page and attributing the "Commence primary igniton" quote (since the card itself features the quote) to whoever originally quoted it be a better solution than deletion? It is a very notable quote from ANH, even if the gunner pictured on the card is just a reinterpretation of one of the two Death Star Trooper's from ANH who carelessly forgot their face shields as the laser fired. I'm talking about the two that were featured in ANH and may have been reused/unused footage for the mirrored ROTJ scenes that became Corr Lerrann and Tay Kando. But as to who spoke the quote in ANH I am unable to quickly locate who. Labyrinthine G0B-L1N (talk) 04:06, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
That might not have been any of the Death Star gunners from ANH. The quotes on those cards aren't always (necessarily) said by subjects pictured on them. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 04:11, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
Oh, sorry I gave that impression. I was not linking the quote to any of the above mentioned individuals. Only pointing out that the card quote/source could be better used on another page associated with whover did speak the line in ANH, and that the the art may just have been a misinterpretation of one of the two depicted individuals in ANH. Given the angle of the card he could indeed have been a unique unidentified character just "offscreen" during ANH. I'll try to be more clear next time. I was just opening the discussion about keeping the citation somewhere. Labyrinthine G0B-L1N (talk) 04:22, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
