Unidentified Twi'lek Jedi (Valius Ying) (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
So, was eyeing this over and had a friend look too. Stands in the background of one frame near the start of the comic—no name, no dialogue, does nothing and doesn't interact with any other character. That the Twi'lek is actually arresting Ying is kinda somewhat an assumption too, given they're only standing there passably as the guy's being led away. Was going to restore the FCA but just really feel like it's not notable.—spookywillowwtalk 02:49, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

Keep
- After taking some time for reflection (aka, a small vacation last week ^^), and while I can see the consensus is most likely already set to delete, I think we should keep the article, on the basis that JJM gave the Jedi an explicit role through his blog, which give us an explicit reference for his narrative role in the arrest of Valius Ying, and would allow us to expand on the BTS section. Comments
- For what it's worth, JJM's notes for the comic issue do show that the intent was for the Jedi to be arresting Ying. (I still am leaning toward the character not being notable enough for a page, but thought it was worth mentioning) Zed42 (talk) 03:43, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, interesting. Shame they just had the guy standing there and not doing anything ig.—spookywillowwtalk 03:46, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- The exact quote from JJM is "Yes, that is indeed Valius Ying, ill-fated captain of the Oroko from Commencement and KOTOR #6 under arrest by a Jedi in the flashback scene aboard Reciprocity. We’d established he was a ship pirate; evidently, he got out of stir sometime between this scene and later on. He’d have been safer in jail!" It's not just an "intention", JJM is stating a fact from his point of view, as per our attribution policy "authors are generally regarded as trustworthy or authoritative in relation to the subject at hand", thus why shouldn't we consider this information as valid? - "Intent" perhaps wasn't the right word, I wasn't intending (ha) to invalidate the info in any way; I just wasn't sure if it made enough of a difference to the character's notability to need a page for the specific Jedi (rather than, for example, just covering that info on the pages for Ying/Karath/Reciprocity/etc.) Zed42 (talk) 08:04, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
