Unidentified Ewok (swinging) (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
As we progress through the list of unidentified film character articles for the Trash compactor, we're going to encounter some like this: Unidentified Ewok (swinging). What makes this article unique is that this otherwise completely non-notable character has a confirmed actor credit (details here). After consulting a few people about this, I've heard competing opinions: Some believe this BTS information justifies the article's existence, and some do not. So I think the best way to approach this is to put this article up for a vote and see what the outcome is, then we can proceed from there once we have a better idea of what the community wants.
I therefore intend this vote to set a Trash compactor precedent for articles of this nature. I ask that in voting, you consider the following:
- Vote Delete if you believe that unidentified character articles that are otherwise completely non-notable should not be granted articles even if they have a confirmed actor credit
- Vote Keep if you believe that unidentified character articles that are otherwise completely non-notable and not deserving of an article should nonetheless be granted an article if the character has a confirmed actor credit

- I personally believe that covering the unidentified character in the confirmed actor's own article is enough; something like "In Return of the Jedi, Thompson played an unnamed Ewok who swung on a rope in the Battle of Endor, knocking over a stormtrooper and striking the fallen soldier." Cade

- If the character does not do anything notable in-universe, I don't see why we should show any special consideration if we know who the performer is.--Exiled Jedi

- "Ewoks/stunts" would, to me, indicate he played several ewoks for stunts, possibly those named as well. The swinging ewok is that pictured, and so the only one we can know with any certainty... Manoof (talk) 06:48, July 8, 2015 (UTC)

- Per Cade. Our site's foremost focus is on IU material, and if there isn't enough IU material (or none at all) to anchor an OOU-heavy IU article, then we shouldn't have it. CC7567 (talk) 19:19, July 10, 2015 (UTC)

Can you clarify the nature of the precedent this vote is setting? Are you speaking only of selecting which articles to bring to the Trash compactor? Or are there more far-reaching implications? Asithol (talk) 03:10, July 13, 2015 (UTC)
