Shawn Valdez (real person) (talk - history - links - logs)

This is a touching story, but it should be found in the Bts of Shawn Valdez and at SWFans. This marginally fails our policy. I still think it is more appropriate elsewhere, even though it is a touching story.

Keep

  1. I apologize for any pretense of bias, since I created this article during the GA process of Shawn Valdez. But as was my reasoning for creation, so it is now for keep. I believe this kid is notable enough for an article, since his name and life pursuits were the direct inspiration for the creation of the Valdez character. Please read the Valdez character BTS for details. As a side note, perhaps the article could be moved to "Shawn Valdez (fan)," as a better name. Also, I don't believe the content of this article would even be appropriate for SWFans, which identifies its focus as things relating to fan fiction, fan films, fan websites, fan role-plays and other fan-related activities and also notes that Wookieepedia is the wiki of documented canon material and Star Wars Fanon is the Wiki where anyone can make up any story they wish to. This article isn't fan fiction or anything really related to that topic. It's an element of legitimately documented canonicity. Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:39, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
