Raid on the Jedi Temple (Old Republic) (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

I created a TC for this since it's not clear cut enough for a speedy deletion. But essentially, what it comes down to for me is that we really have no idea how the darksaber was stolen from the Jedi Temple. It could've been a raid, it could've been some stealth operation, or any number of things. All we know is two quotes.

From "The Mandalore Plot," spoken by Pre Vizsla:

"This lightsaber was stolen from your Jedi temple by my ancestors during the fall of the Old Republic. Since then many Jedi have died upon its blade."

And from "Trials of the Darksaber," spoken by Fenn Rau:

"Legend tells that it was created over a thousand years ago by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi Order. After his passing, the Jedi kept the saber in their temple. That was, until members of House Vizsla snuck in and liberated it."

All we know is that Mandalorians from House Vizsla snuck into the Jedi Temple and stole/liberated the darksaber from the Jedi. That could mean there was a fight. It could also mean they were in and out with the Jedi not even noticing it.

I don't think we have enough information to create this article since we don't know the scope of the event. Hence this TC. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:40, September 20, 2018 (UTC)

  • Considering that we only know that it was stolen, it doesn't seem like enough for its own article at this point. Whereas the info has a more natural fit just in the darksaber article for now. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 00:56, September 21, 2018 (UTC)

  • Found it. Knights of Fate states, "Pre Vizsla was the last in a line of Warriors of Clan Vizsla to wield the Darksaber, a unique lightsaber looted from the Jedi Temple centuries before."--Vitus InfinitusTalk 15:33, September 23, 2018 (UTC)
