Pilot's Showcase (talk - history - links - logs)

It is an article created as the result of the very old TC thread, which I believe has no purpose here any longer. A little history: Pilot's Showcase was a feature on the Star Wars Galaxies website that demonstrated some cool player-created starships, with a brief description. A user had mistakenly believed that being published on the Galaxies website means that those things are canonical now and started creating articles from them. Leeland Chee was consulted and confirmed that this stuff remains non-canon. A VFD thread was created, where it was decided to redirect all those non-canon articles to a single one - the Pilot's Showcase. However, I think that we should delete it as well for the following reasons:

  • It's non-canon. Not exactly fanon, but not licensed non-canon either, it's just player-created content.
  • It is awfully incomplete and in almost three years since it was created nobody showed any desire to finish it.
  • It has a gallery, which we decided to purge long ago. Without the gallery it would make even less sense than it currently does.
  • We simply do not have any other articles about articles from the Galaxies website. Or any other website, with a notable exception of Wizards.com, for that matter.

If we decide to delete it, we would have to delete all those images and all those pages redirecting to it as well, which is not bad at all in my opinion. MauserComlink 17:46, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

  3. Non-canon, non-LFL articles don't need to get articles. We don't create articles for BioWare TOR Press Release #438, and that has more information about the canonical Star Wars galaxy in it than this does. Havac 03:05, September 19, 2009 (UTC)
