Novor 33 (talk - history - links - logs)

Secrets of the Sisar Run states there are 33 planets in the Novor system. But the 33rd is not nammed or mentionned in the book. Hk 47 (talk) 02:10, January 20, 2013 (UTC)

  5. Actually @Riff about that, for instance there are many planets that have like 20 moons, that doesn't mean we should create an article for every single one of them (this applies to the rest of the unotable planets in the system). If it's not notable then it should go and in this case only thing notable or relevant about it, is what I marked with a "Source?" tag, even though it is likely a typo. The planet's only indirect mention (if you can call it that) was the "There are 33 planets in the system", that seems pretty dull to be worth an article. Winterz (talk) 22:37, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

  1. Planets are always notable. There were once 33 planets in the system, so there should be 33 articles on those planets, ala the Dilonexa system articles. The article title needs changing to reflect that it has no known name. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 11:04, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
    • Moons are different than planets. They can range from chunks of rocks to as big as the planet they orbit, whereas a planet is guaranteed to be a significantly massive body there. Even real solar system charts treat moons as subordinate: planet designations will be listed, then the number of moons if the body has any. Moons will still be given designations themselves, but they won't be listed unless you dig further into the planet's data. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 00:13, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

  3. You gotta love sources that don't detail their content. If Secrets of the Sisar Run says there are 33 planets in the system, and we have an article for every planet that exists, this should remain, but with the conjectural title. *inclusionist punch* -- Riffsyphon1024 22:26, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

  • I understand the article's creator is not reliable but he hardly worked on the article itself and after several, edits another user, who seems less unreliable and conflictuous (JaggedFel621) added the infobox and some new info, including an orbital position. So it may be possible that the planet was mentioned in that or another source, which provided that info, no? If so, and even if the name isn't canonical I, as a personal opinion, believe the article should be kept and the title reworded into a conjectural name in something like Unidentified thirty-third planet (Novor system), or within those lines. • From page 18 of Secrets of the Siskar Run: "Novor Major, now a red giant, expanded millennia ago, ripping apart half of the planets it hosted. The planets that survived were remarkably, not drastically affected. Sixteen planets—Novor 18 to Novor 33—remain in orbit." NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 00:20, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
