Redirect to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (soundtrack)

  1. The number of redirects is irrelevant, this is a viable search term so it makes complete sense for it to lead to the album page. Most users likely don't know of our policy of not having articles for individual tracks, so they ought to be sent to the album page to reduce confusion and make them less likely to create individual track pages themselves. As ecks said, redirects don't cost anything, and I think it'd be a mistake to fully delete a title that may be searched for. Tommy-Macaroni 10:33, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

    • Nah, handling individual tracks, including having them as redirects, is simply outside of Wookieepedia's scope. I don't see the benefit of making hundreds of similar redirects, which could happen if we set a precedent for that here. OOM 224 ༼༽talk༼༽ 18:17, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
      • This exact thing was decided on the Discord server for The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu. I think this instance is different to Phineas and Ferb, since that was a parody and this is an official Star Wars product. Personally I think it'd be better to turn them into redirects, but maybe that's just me Lewisr (talk) 19:05, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

          • I see your point, but they add up fast. I did a quick count: there's roughly 200 tracks for the 12 films and something like 70 for Mando. That's an awful lot of redirects. ThatNerdWhoEditsWikis[talk] 06:12, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
