List of fan-created sectors (talk - history - links - logs)
Yet another useless Real World List. No sourcing, it only covers one set of "fan-created sectors", lots of OR, and is NPOV to boot.
Delete

- The best way to be the antithesis of fanon is to shine a light on common forms of it and show it for what it is. If we can't tell people "this stuff is fanon, it most assuredly ain't real," we are less effective at informing our audience about what IS canon. jSarek 10:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
- I respectfully disagree, JS. I think someone mucked up to begin with by even allowing any sort of page that shows common forms of added fanon. Delete all fanon now and in the future. We just need to do a better job of monitoring. Toprawa and Ralltiir 16:38, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

- IMHO, a list is not the best way to do that. Redirect all fanon to a page which says "that is fanon" etc, but not a list of it. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 09:08, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Merge with List of fanon creations
- Before we created the list, some of those sectors kept turning up repeatedly. We need to point those fanon sectors SOMEWHERE, even if not a separate list. jSarek 23:25, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

This page was originally my subpage and was used because LowLight was making up Sector names which we had to discern between. Sometime later, Sikon moved it from my userspace to the article namespace. If anything we merge it back to my userspace, otherwise, work it into the list of fanon creations, because we have to know what is fanon and what is not. -- Riffsyphon1024 23:34, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Voting to merge something back to a user namespace is, IMHO, frankly absurd. The point of the user namespace is that, aside from userpage/image policies, it's basically the user's to customize. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 23:36, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

- I just noticed something interesting. I had put Kalamith Sector on that list as a fanon sector from that site. Turns out when Death Star was released, the Kalamith Sector was canonized. Strange. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:25, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

- I see no point to list of fanon creations if we don't want this stuff somewhere. If we don't, than we might as well delete that too. There doesn't seem to be any reason to have a list of fanon creations and not put the fanon creations on it. Hobbes(Tiger's Lair) 02:25, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
