Lana Beniko's lightsaber (history - links - logs - delete - protect)
I found nothing notable about her lightsaber in all my knowledge of the game and expansions. And I noticed the creator has made several other unnecessary lightsaber articles. He must not be aware of our policy regarding these damn lightsaber articles! Winterz 19:36, March 15, 2019 (UTC)

- On principle. Unless a lightsaber is very, very notable (like the Anakin/Luke/Rey lightsaber), they belong in the Equipment section of the individual who owns it. —Unsigned comment by DigiFluid (talk • contribs)

- @Winterz: I'm also unaware of our policy about lightsaber articles. Our notability policy mentions in passing "notable personal weapons, such as the lightsaber used by both Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker" in a section restricted to canon articles (and therefore not applicable to this Legends article). But this policy gives no guidance on determining the notability of any given weapon; in particular, the top of the policy explicitly states, "any type of article not discussed below does not have fixed rules for determining notability," and personal weapons are not a type of article discussed on that page. So there does not appear to be a policy about specific lightsabers. If you know otherwise, I'd be grateful for a pointer to it. Thanks! Asithol (talk) 20:49, March 19, 2019 (UTC)
- You are right. Unfortunately, there's nothing established in our notability policy about this subject. This remains an example of case-by-case, despite being a predominant case. Winterz (talk) 21:54, March 25, 2019 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for clarifying. If we want to enact policy around this, a possible avenue (as I suggested in a different TC thread) might be to expand our dictionary policy to disallow articles that document standard-English combinations of other Wookieepedia terms and/or dictionary terms. Almost all of these unnecessary lightsaber articles basically exist to document the possessive use of a person's name followed by the term "lightsaber," a process anyone who understands how English works can do him- or herself.
