Jedi Master (individual) (talk - history - links - logs)
This is an article about of the generic faces for the Human Jedi NPC's from Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. He is in no way identified in the games, doesn't participate in any plot events and can even be present in more than one copy at one time since NPC's appearances are generated randomly. In short term: not associated with any actual individual. Mauser 15:15, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

- It does have a disclaimer at the top of the article saying his name is unknown, and the article does sufficiently explain the skin's existence and usage. — beeurd talk 20:07, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

- I actually have a question about this NPC article. Is it possible that the NPC is valid, but that the problem lays with including an image? I haven't played the games, so I am unsure as to whether the NPC exists or not. I know that this is an issue that I have found in the KotOR games. Cylka-talk- 00:24, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- The problem is that this particlular face can be assinged by the game engine to almost any Jedi NPC in the game and even to multiple NPC's at the same time and place. Also, no source aside from the game files identify him as a Jedi Master.Mauser 03:26, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- The Jedi Master and Jedi Trainer NPCs appear consistently (that is, not randomly), and take place in the plot (for example, they're gathered together where they should be when Luke is assigning the apprentices masters). Trip would know more about this, as he was doing a lot of research into the game files. - Lord Hydronium 05:10, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing this up for me. Cylka-talk- 19:45, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, Hydro pretty much summed it up. While the NPCs in Jedi Outcast are many and generic, in Jedi Academy there's never any more than one of a particular skin on a map at any given time. (While the "Jedi Master" skin is used to represent Corran, Tionne, and Streen, there's always one more in any given scene than there are named characters.) - Trip 03:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- Trip, I think you should add your comments almost verbatim to the BTS. If someone was reading the BTS and didn't already know any of this, than your explanation is a little more informative. Wildyoda 00:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

- Also, except for a couple of comments in the relevant CT, it doesn't seem like we decided that just because something did not have a canon name that it had to be named Unidentified Whatever, just that it should not be "nameless" "anonymous" or "unnamed." But does anyone else think that "Unidentified Jedi Master" would be a better (more standard and consistent) name for this article? Wildyoda 00:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
- Just for the record, I am actually undecided on the moving. But I both lean towards it and brought it up because I'm willing to bet that if this article had been created last week rather than a mere couple months after the "unidentified" CT went through that it would have had "unidentified" in the name or been immediately moved there by some RC patroller that liked consistency. I don't necessarily think that everything without a canon name needs to have "unidentified" in the name. But I don't mind consistency. Wildyoda 15:09, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Except he does have a canon name, the incredibly creative name "Jedi Master". -- I need a name (Complain here) 15:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
