Hunts of Boba Fett (talk - history - links - logs)

  • This is a completely worthless article, as whats in this article is on Boba Fett's page. Delete or redirect. Darthchristian (Hey!) 17:00, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Agreed. There is nothing here that can't be covered in Boba Fett's article. Merge. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Delete. -- SFH 19:03, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Delete or Redirect, there is no need to have this information twice. And Merge what isn't on the boba fett page with that article. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 12:58, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Merge. This is extremely redundant, as I already pointed out on the talk page. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 13:39, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Keep as I've pointed out on other occasions, finding this kind of detail on an article page can be an issue for someone who is not looking for the whole life of a character, just information on a specific hunt, saying it's irelavant because it's in Fetts article is like saying Fetts article is irrelevant because it's in the books and movies. If you pick up an Encyclopedia and look up General Stonewall from the Civil war, you will still find articles on his battles, even though they are noted in his article as well, this article just gives more detail to the events without over cluttering the individuals article N.Y.N.E.Comlink 09:03, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
    • I beg to differ. First of all, you're comparing apples and oranges. Saying IU info is irrelevant because of OOU sources is a "straw man" argument. Second of all, the Stonewall Jackson comparison is a "red herring." There is a difference between battles and hunts, a very marked difference. A better comparison would be trying to find a "hunts of Daniel Boone" or "missions of Robin Hood" in an encyclopedia, which you won't typically find. Hunts, in this case, are the largely based around the actions of one individual, whereas battles involve more (yes, I know about the duel articles, but that can't really be helped, I suppose.) We also had a discussion on the Flight of the Millennium Falcon VFD/TC not to do this sort of thing. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 16:26, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
      • Yes I read up on the Falcon article, and this was the reasoning behind this article, if you focus on the details that people would like to know in a seperate article from the original and then link to it, you free up room on the main article for the essential information, it's the same as having a page on the Duels of Luke Skywalker where you can detail the results of LS's duels rather than having each individual in the main article, some people don't want to fish through all the info on the main article to find them, and others would prefer that the Main does not point out ever individual detail because they want to catch up on them themselves, articles like this would cut out Major Spoilers, like an article about Duels of Jacen Solo, would stop people from finding out endings in the Legacy Series of books... but as I said here at wookiee you will do what you will do, so if it is to be deleted just get rid of it and get it over with N.Y.N.E.Comlink 11:15, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
