Green crossguard lightsaber (Malachor) (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

This is only notable from an out-of-universe perspective because of the tie-in to The Force Awakens. However, there's nothing particularly notable about the lightsaber itself, so the information about it can be reflected on Crossguard lightsaber. Additionally, the subject is full of speculation:

  • So far as I know, this hasn't been identified as a Jedi lightsaber. Is it? Probably. Does it necessarily have to? Nope, maybe Sith used other colors at one point.
  • We don't know how the combatants from the Great Scourge of Malachor were petrified. Dave Filoni's idea is that the superweapon activated (and/or misfired) and petrified them, but that hasn't been in a story and the context in which he said it made it clear that that's just his idea and not official canon yet.
  • It says that Ezra ignited the lightsaber for the first time in millennia. That's probably true, but we don't know that (and if we do, the article doesn't reflect the correct source, because the episode doesn't state that). Ezra (and Kanan and Ahsoka) was not the first person to be on Malachor since the Great Scourge.
