Gallery of xenophobic species (talk - history - links - logs)
This gallery is no more helpful than a comparable list or category, and thus the use of the images is not Fair Use. jSarek 08:11, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's possible to make a case for deletion on the grounds of it being relatively redundant, but I don't see how that breaches any one of the four pillars of fair use. --School of Thrawn 101 08:42, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- You're right; I was mistakenly lumping the free-content rules of Wikipedia in with general fair use doctrine. Still, we've tended to follow the same prescription on this site; if an image does not in some way illustrate or illuminate the article it's in, it doesn't belong. jSarek 09:16, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, but this VfD is for the article, not the images within it. --School of Thrawn 101 09:18, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- A gallery with no images isn't a gallery. jSarek 09:41, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Right, but w/o the fair use violation as a reason, the argument must be against the purpose of the gallery. The images, in and of themselves, violate nothing. --School of Thrawn 101 09:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- School of Thrawn, the gallery page itself is all that is being discussed here. Images themselves receive their own deletion process at Wookieepedia:Images and media for deletion. All four images in the gallery are used in other articles where they demonstrate fair use as examples of the article topic, and are fine. Wildyoda 19:00, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

- Agreed that the gallery does not demonstrate fair use, delete the whole thing. All four species represented are discussed in the Speciesism article, and that should be all the "list"ing we need. Wildyoda 19:00, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Seriously guys, that was my whole point. Uggh. Delete. --School of Thrawn 101 06:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete, Listing it once should be enough. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 07:10, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

This is a little too subjective for a gallery, no? - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 17:21, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
